I have read a lot of  Christian books, I’d say at least 200. And participated in many “Bible studies” where these books were used.

The underlying idea of all of them is the same; if you can just get hold of your flesh and teach it these new tricks you can become a proper Christian.

This is a lie, a real whopper.
