Custom Large Catechism Introduction Sample

Here is a sample introduction letter for Around the Word’s Custom Large Catechism:

A Note from the Pastor

Dear Friend,

You hold in your hand a treasure of wisdom and comfort. Even though the Large Catechism was written in 1529 by Martin Luther, it is still a lively text. It brings us the wisdom of the Scriptures, the basics of the Bible’s teaching, and the sure hope that we have in Christ.

The Large Catechism covers five topics: The Ten Commandments, The Apostles’ Creed, The Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, and the Lord’s Supper. These five parts teach us how God wants us to live, what God wants us to believe, how God wants us to pray, and how our dear Lord Jesus wants to get His love and mercy to us.

This book is a gift to you from the members of Hope Lutheran Church in Aurora, CO. Thank you for visiting! We would love to talk with you more about the Christian faith and the hope we have in Christ.
