Friends,
Here’s the idea: We’ll mix up some Lucas Cranach art and some Martin Luther quotations and build a calendar that will be beautiful and catechetical.
You get to submit the quotations. If your quotation makes it in the calendar we’ll send you a free copy!
Here are the rules:
- Enter as many times as you like.
- References are required. (If you pull the quotation from Luther’s Works, please include the volume and the page. If you find it on-line, please include the link.)
- We’re looking for 50-150 word range.
- I will give preference to quotations:
- which clearly divide Law and Gospel,
- which include suggested months, and
- which are from the following works:
- The Small & Large Catechism
- Smalcald Articles
- On the Councils and the Churchs
- Sermons
- The Freedom of the Christian
- The Last Words of David
- The Bondage of the Will
- I will make the final determination of the winning quotations. I’ll send you a calendar for each winning quotation.
- The contest closes on October 31, 2019. I’ll announce the winners sometime after that.
Have fun, and submit your entries here (or, if that doesn’t work, click here):
Lord’s Blessings, Pastor Bryan Wolfmueller
